Patrick Mahomes is one of the most easily recognizable faces in the NFL. Mahomes is a three-time Super Bowl champion at just 28 years old with decades of football ahead of him if he wants to.

However, the fame and glamor of an NFL athlete always come with a price. It becomes difficult to be in touch with their family because they spend the majority of their year with the team close to the facility.

Players have to keep themselves discreet which means they can’t just waltz off to the local KFC for some chicken nuggets. Mahomes’ mother Randi Martins (Mahomes), spoke about the difficulties of staying away from her son while appearing on ‘The Mom Game Podcast.’

She went through a similar problem as Julian Edelman’s father, having to deal with their son’s criticism and hate on social media. Martins revealed that she would cry a lot while reading all the horrible messages after the Chiefs would lose a game.

Her only wish is to live like a normal family. Earlier this year she hinted at moving closer to Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City house to spend more time with her

grandkids, Silver and Bronze.

Randi Martins married Pat Mahomes, a former Major League Baseball player in the early ‘90s. Patrick was born in 1995 and attended Texas Tech after choosing to play football over baseball.

Randi and Pat announced their divorce in 2006 and she raised Patrick by herself. He also has a brother named Jackson Mahomes and a younger half-sister Mia.

When the Police arrested Jackson for allegedly assaulting an owner of a restaurant, Randi faced a lot of flak online. It did not stop even after all the chargers were dropped against the YouTube/ TikTok star.

I don’t wish it on even my worst enemy. I have said I don’t wish it on anyone because, [as a mother], you don’t want to read or see things about your children, especially when you know it’s not true.

Mahomes’ current objective is securing a historic three-peat. A feat, not even seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady had accomplished. If Mahomes manages to achieve it, then perhaps he would not have to play deep into his 40s similar to Brady.
