Brittany Mahomes recently shared a post of KC Chiefs on her official Instagram account. It so happened that the star QB wasn’t wearing pants on his practice days and Brittany did not shy away from trolling her husband. In the story post, she tagged Mahomes, when she saw the QB going embarrassed for not wearing pants. The fitness freak wrote a caption for her hubby, “Sorry I’m not there to dress you…” with a laughing emoji. But wait, the full story is even funnier than this!
In the video, Mahomes can be heard saying to his teammates, “Oh dude! I didn’t put my pants on.” Out of embarrassment, he asked them, “You think anyone notices?” Anyway, whether anyone noticed or not, Mahomes had to take a break to go to the changing room. And for that, he practiced saying, “I forgot my pants pads,” instead of saying “I forgot my pants” before going to the coach to ask for permission for a break.
Summoning his courage, he then approached QB coach, David Girardi, and informed him that he forgot to wear his pants pad. Later in the video, he was heard asking “Maybe they’ll think my quads are so big that they look like pants?” Mahomes also called himself an “idiot” for forgetting to wear the most important garment. However, after getting permission, he left the field to the changing room to put on his pants.
This incident made NFL fans go crazy, who liked Mahomes’ “𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ish” behavior on the field. Even Brittany too had a good laugh upon hearing her husband going red-faced in one of his practice days. He said, “My wife Brittany got them for me. I wore them in my first season, and we had a good year. Now, they’re my game day pair.”
However, Mahomes confessed he only wears them for games, keeping them in good condition. He even admitted, “If we’re on a hot streak, I can’t wash them. As long as I’m winning, I’ll keep the superstition going.” Not only him, former Chiefs quarterback Chad Henne also spilled the beans on Mahomes’ this strange ritual on “The Adam Schefter Podcast.” Henne revealed, “Patrick has worn the same pair of red underwear every game day since I’ve known him.
