Miley Cyrus will be present on the tribute version of “ Stop Making Sense » by Talking Heads.

On Thursday night, Miley Cyrus performed a medley including “ Psycho Killer » by Talking Heads during an intimate concert at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. She sang alongside a guitarist inside the iconic H๏τel.

She performed alternate lyrics before telling the crowd: “ If you know this song, here’s the normal part “. She then sang the chorus of “ Psycho Killer “.

The new performance comes months after A24 announced it was working on a Talking Heads tribute album, featuring covers of the iconic live album Stop Making Sense from David Byrne’s group. The project is expected to feature performances from Cyrus, Lorde and Paramore.

Girl in Red, The National, Teezo Touchdown, Kevin Abstract, Jean Dawson and Chicano Batman are also expected to appear on the album. (A24 has acquired world rights to the concert film Stop Making Sense).

Cyrus and Byrne also have a shared past. They reunited on stage at Miley’s New Year’s Eve party, which celebrated the start of 2023. During the show, the duo performed ” Let’s Dance » by David Bowie and « Everybody’s Coming To My House » by Byrne.
